Synopsis
Twelve-year-old Chris’s carefree childhood comes to an abrupt end when her beloved mother dies, leaving her struggling with grief, confusion, and an overwhelming sense of loss. While Chris desperately tries to hold on to the memories of the family she once knew, her father begins a new relationship, and his girlfriend gradually becomes part of their lives. To Chris, this new woman is not merely her father’s partner but an unwelcome presence who seems to threaten her mother’s place in the family. Unable to accept that her father could love someone else after her mother’s death, Chris becomes increasingly resentful and determined to drive the woman away. What starts as childish hostility soon develops into a calculated and increasingly troubling scheme of revenge, as Chris uses manipulation and deception to sabotage their relationship. Yet beneath her anger lies a deeply wounded child who is still struggling to accept her mother’s death and fears that moving forward means forgetting the person she loved most.Winding Up
